A 22-year-old Nigerian lady, Nkem Vivian, has hit back at trolls shaming her for marrying a much older man.  The young woman and her German husband got married this year.  Sharing a TikTok video on her Instagram story on Friday, May 12, Nkem said she chose happiness over people's opinion. “I can't marry an old man because of what people will say. I choose happiness over everything,” the caption on the video reads.  In another video, she covered her eyes with foreign currency notes. “Can't you see he looks like your father-in-law? How can I see for crying out loud?” she wrote. 

  In a development that will interest many Nigerians, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, is reportedly planning to leave the country before May 29. According to Sahara Reporters, President Muhammadu Buhari has granted the Central Bank governor study leave. This opportunity for Emefiele to flee the country before Buhari leaves office on May 29 comes amid corruption and terrorism-financing allegations against him. Politics Nigeria  reports that the Department of State Services (DSS) recently accused Emefiele of sabotaging the economy, financing terrorism and committing other economic crimes. The secret police had also attempted to arrest and detain Emefiele in the past over the allegations against him. According to the news medium, the DSS is not happy about the prospect of seeing the CBN governor evade justice.   Some social media users have been left in tears following a viral video of a man receiving a diploma certificate for his son who died a day before graduation.  The late graduand has been identified as Elethu Pangwa and he bagged a diploma in biotechnology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. The man received a standing ovation after showing up to receive his son's certificate. 

  BREAKING: Nigerian Police Finally Arraign Whistleblower, Nnamdi Emeh, Who Exposed Organ Trafficking Ring In Anambra Police May 12, 2023 NEWS   The Nigeria Police Force has finally brought Nnamdi Emeh, the whistleblower who exposed an organ trafficking ring within Anambra police command, before a Federal High Court in Awka, the state capital.   Emeh was arraigned at the Federal High Court on Thursday.   The police filed 12 counts against him, accusing him of committing crimes alleged to have violated several regulations and laws.   Emeh, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.   His lawyer, Mr. Justus Ijeoma Esq, moved the bail application already filed for him while the police filed a counter-affidavit in opposition to his bail application.
